How To Guide:
RC Helicopter Customizing
RC helicopters! If you have not seen one, most certainly you have heard the word. The popularity of this radio controlled
toy has gained epic proportions. You could be irritated because your kid can not seem to stop talking about getting one.
This toy however is not just for kids as most grown up men are serious RC helicopter flyers. And why not? If these men
have been dreaming of becoming pilots as a kid and were unable to fulfill that dream, the next possible thing is to fly an
RC Heli.
Have you noticed how grown men behave like little boys as they raptly watch their RC copter perform complex acrobatics on
air? These men would experience the thrill of flying as if they are at the controls of the real thing. It would not be
uncommon to see serious hobbyists spend top dollar to make their RC toys one of a kind…at the envy of everyone.
Similar to car enthusiast that would add all the new gadgets to his car regardless of the price, serious RC helicopter
flyers also customize their toys.
How are RC helicopters customized? Depending on the whim and wish of the owner, an RC copter’s canopy can be customized
with decals. These decorative stickers that come in a variety of colors and designs would transform the appearance of the
canopy once the picture or design on the specially treated paper is transferred to the plastic or fiberglass surface of
the helicopter’s canopy.
Unique artwork, company labels and logos can also be used to customize an RC helicopter. Helicopters that are sporting the
company logos will serve as advertisement of the company. You could say that you are achieving two purposes with your toy:
one, for pleasure and two, to generate attention for the company. Because RC helicopters are sure fire attention getters,
the company colors and logo will be shown to a multitude of would-be consumers.
A helicopter is one of the RC toys that can be easily customized. By using an air brush custom painting can be easily
done. After a day or two, your RC helicopter will now sport Spider man’s face or a burning fire complete with simulated
smoke oozing to the tail rotor. You can have figures of birds, animals and flowers painted on the canopy. I have seen one
that was realistically painted with a fire breathing dragon. Very impressive!
